Fuelblooded’s debut album ‘Inflict The Inevitable’ is certainly an impressive debut but don’t be fooled, the majority of this band have played together for over 15 years under the strange name Sacramental Sachem.

The first track that stands out is the enigmatically titled ‘Dream Tech Inc’, which amongst a clearly well structured foray of headbanging if slightly formulaic riffs, are interesting discordant riffs that take the track through un-foreseen dynamical twists.

Vital Welten’s vocal performance suits the sound Fuelblooded are aiming for and although completely listenable, for me he simply lacks the gruff bellows that guitarist Michiel Rutten is giving me, maybe a swap of positions should be in order.

‘Inflict The Inevitable’ is a solid album built on the backbone of powerful rhythm sections and soaring solo’s whilst delivering technically able musicianship unfortunately at this day and age does sounds far too derivative of a scene that’s already been mauled beyond recognition, you have to ask yourself how many more At The Gates’, The Haunted’s and clayman era In Flames’ and….(well c’mon, you could just go on forever couldn’t you really) do we actually want let alone need.

‘Inflict The Inevitable’ is OUT NOW through Copro Records

Fuelblooded’s music is firmly rooted in the melodic death/thrash style of metal
